Shanghai Sets the Course for Global Logistics Again: Key Results from Asia's Largest Forum

Every year, Shanghai becomes a meeting place for key players in the global logistics industry. It hosts Transport Logistic China, the largest industry forum in the Asia-Pacific region, bringing together carriers, supply chain operators, logistics technology manufacturers, investors, and government officials from more than 50 countries. In 2026, the venue brought together over 900 companies from around the world.

The forum has long since moved beyond being just an exhibition. It is a venue for discussions of global changes in international trade, the development of transport corridors, container shipping, multimodal logistics, industry digitalization, warehouse automation, artificial intelligence, and increased supply chain resilience. Many solutions that later become industry standards are first presented here.

What was the most important thing in 2026?

This year's forum agenda focused on making international transportation faster, more transparent, and more sustainable. Among the most discussed areas were:

  • digital transformation of the transport industry and the implementation of intelligent logistics platforms;
  • application of artificial intelligence for supply chain management and freight flow forecasting;
  • development of international container shipping and rail routes between Asia and Europe;
  • strengthening Eurasian transport corridors;
  • expanding international cooperation between logistics operators and government agencies;
  • implementing innovative solutions that improve the efficiency of freight transportation.

Participants paid special attention to developing transport connectivity in Eurasia. This issue is becoming a key factor in global trade today: companies are seeking new routes, reducing delivery times, and investing in digital services that enable real-time transportation management.

Kazakhstan is also actively involved

A Kazakh delegation, led by representatives of the transport and logistics industry, also participated in the forum. The main goal of their participation was to expand international cooperation, promote Kazakhstan's transport and logistics potential, develop transit routes between Asia and Europe, and strengthen the country's role as a key transport hub in Eurasia.

As part of the business program, Kazakh representatives participated in specialized conferences, held talks with foreign logistics operators and industry associations, discussed the development of international transport routes, attracting new freight flows, and further cooperation within Eurasian transport corridors.

China remains one of the main logistics partners

For businesses, such events not only offer an opportunity to share best practices but also to build new international supply chains. China remains the world's largest manufacturing and export hub, and efficient logistics is becoming a key competitive advantage.
